Team Stoughton enjoys the whirlwind of success
Sponsor JELD-WEN joins in the celebration
(WINNIPEG, Manitoba) March 23, 2011 – Team Stoughton is enjoying the whirlwind of success after winning the Tim Hortons Brier earlier this month. The team, comprised of Jeff Stoughton (skip), Jon Mead (third), Reid Carruthers (second) and Steve Gould (lead), celebrated with JELD-WEN at the Manitoba Home Builders’ Association Bonspiel. They enjoyed lunch and laughs with JELD-WEN staff and fans.
“It’s great to celebrate with the JELD-WEN people because they really are part of the team,” says Carruthers. “Their support means we can concentrate on winning.”
Stoughton agrees. “Having JELD-WEN offer its support to us is invaluable. Not only can we have the best of everything we need to succeed, it takes the worry away.”
The team talked with JELD-WEN staff about its game plan heading into the Ford World Men’s Curling Championship in Regina next month. They intend to avoid distractions and limit mistakes.
“It’s so rewarding to know that our support really, truly helps these guys win championships. It takes the pressure off so they can focus. We can’t wait to see them at the Worlds,” says Laura Kirk, Marketing Manager, JELD-WEN Windows and Doors.
