Announcing the winners of the JELD-WEN contest

(Winnipeg, Manitoba, June 22, 2011) — On June 22, 2011, JELD-WEN drew the names of its “Make Your Home a Star” contest winners. JELD-WEN is pleased to congratulate:

An innovator and actor in the promotion of energy efficiency, JELD-WEN launched the second edition of its “Make Your Home a Star” contest in March. Open to all Canadian residents, the contest is designed to sensitize the public at large about energy efficiency and help the winners to replace their doors and windows and increase the energy efficiency of their home, improve the comfort level of the occupants and increase the re-sale value of their home.

JELD-WEN would like to congratulate the winners and thank all the Canadian homeowners who actively participated in the contest. In fact, over 40,000 participants signed up at www.jeld-wen.ca.

In 2007, JELD-WEN (a world leader in door and window production), became the first Canadian door and window manufacturer to be licensed by the Canadian Government to promote the ecoENERGY Retrofit – Homes program.

JELD-WEN is the recipient of the Canadian 2010 ENERGY STAR Award for Sustained Excellence. It was awarded this honour for its sustained efforts in the field of energy efficiency.
