The EnerQuality (EQ) Housing Innovation Forum took place in Vaughan last week. The event consisted of a series of leading-edge presentations about sustainability in the housing industry, followed by an EQ Awards Gala. At the ceremony different “change-makers” were acknowledged for their work in the industry.
JELD-WEN’s own Lisa Bergeron received the award for ENERGY STAR Champion of the Year, affirming JELD-WEN’s role as an industry leader in energy efficiency. This came only days after JELD-WEN won the Society Award at the AQMAT Gala, which acknowledges a commitment to ecological, social and humanitarian efforts.
The theme of the Innovation Forum was New, Now and Next and focused on forward thinking, innovative products and new techniques for advancing green building performance. The Awards Gala saw an evening suspense and waves of applause as the “best of the best” EQ builders were recognized.
